​ Welcome to the International Shotokan Shobukan Karate Association Pan-American website. The Shobukan Hombu dojo is located in Japan. Kancho Kohama teaches JKA Style Karate as it was passed down to him by his teacher, Master Tshushima, a student of Master Funakoshi (founder of Shotokan).
We are a non-political organization with the goal to inspire and motivate other organization and students the study and training of Karate-do. Through our organization you can become member of the International Shotokan Shobukan Karate Association in Japan. This website serves the purpose of sharing information about the members in North, South, Central America and the Caribean Islands. For more information on affiliation please contact us.

Nakayama Sensei and Tsushima Sensei
Both were students of Master Funakoshi.
Tsushima sensei was the Sensei of Kohama Sensei until passing.
